Chris Hickman

Co-Founder

Chris is an experienced leader and an EMCC accredited coach. He loves to support people unlock their potential and overcome challenges. Chris wants to do this for everyone with Yellow Dot

Previously, Chris was the Chief of Staff & Global Head of Strategy at a global bank. There he led teams across strategy, sustainability and innovation to bring new ideas to life

Jibran has spent his career designing and deploying cutting edge technology solutions and building innovative ventures. His roles have ranged from architecture design to Chief Product Officer

Digital coaching is like coaching but uses artificial intelligence (AI) to provide personalised support through our digital coach “Mai”. It’s designed to help individuals or businesses improve skills, achieve goals, and support their decision-making

Coaching is often described as a dance between the individual and the coach. Mai is inspired by the gender-neutral name in Japanese meaning dance

You can interact with Mai and get access to your resources through your desktop or mobile device. Mai is powered by large language models and algorithms to deliver the coaching process

Coaching can support topics such as career development, productivity, stakeholder management, and more. But coaching is not about providing answers; it’s a safe space for you to find your answer. Given Mai is new as a coach, they cannot support everything (yet). More personal or sensitive conversations should be explored with a person. Coaching is not therapy nor a replacement for professional help

Our service is designed to support everyone but primarily those that cannot afford or access people-coaches; from professionals, entrepreneurs, graduates, or organisations looking to offer to their employee base

We have designed Mai with the highest standards in mind. This ranges from safeguarding users on topics and conversations to on-going reviews of Mai’s interactions to ensure the appropriateness of their responses

However, we can all make mistakes and Mai is no different. The user is always in control of the process and their actions. If you have any issues, at any point, please contact support@yellowdot.ai

Yes, privacy and data security are our top priorities. All interactions with Mai and the platform are confidential (unless required by law to provide) and encrypted to ensure your information is protected

If coaching is provided by an employer, to maintain confidentiality we do not share an individual’s interactions with the organisation. We do provide aggregated data to the organisation to help them make the most of our service. But we take great lengths to ensure all individuals’ interactions remain private

We use data in different ways to provide the best experience possible. We use information to personalise your interactions with Mai and the platform. We use your previous interactions to help you and Mai recall topics, goals and actions so you have continuity in your dialogue

As with any occupation, coaches get better the more they coach and learn. For example, a “master coach” must have at least 2,500 hours of coaching experience. To help Mai continue to learn and grow as a coach, so they can not only support you now but throughout your career and life, we train our models on anonymised and sanitised coaching conversations, ensuring we maintain privacy at all times
